Mathew Burrows, counselor for the National Intelligence Council (NIC) and principal author of Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds, participated in a question and answer session corresponding with the December 10, 2012 release of the Global Trends report by the Officer of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Four videos from the Q&A have been posted thus far, with more to follow.
The NIC’s Global Trends program engages expertise from outside government on factors of such as globalization, demography and the environment, producing a forward-looking document to aid policymakers in their long term planning on key issues of worldwide importance.
Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds is intended to stimulate thinking about the rapid and
vast geopolitical changes characterizing the world today and possible global trajectories overthe next 15 years.
