CSIS Freeman Chair in China Studies, Japan Chair, and Hills Program on Governance will discuss their study of five Chinese firms: Huawei Device, Lenovo, Suntech, Shanghai Auto, and China South Locomotive.

The panel will look at the factors that led to the firms’ rise, assess their global competitiveness, and examine how Western companies and governments should respond to developments in the Chinese market.
