Note to the BEP (Bureau of Engraving and Printing –
U.S. Department of the Treasury) : the ‘old fashioned way’ of making money is COINING it. The new lousy way is printing it. Now our coins are junk and certificates out of circulation, all we’re left with is private notes (IOU’s) which are bad enough but then we pay interest on the debt to boot! What happened??
